Default 230 SLK KOMPRESSOR BRAKERS ROTORS

I purchased a 2003 SLK from a non MB dealershipcar in Feb that still had warranty for 2 months. I've put 4k onso it now has 34k. MB dealership is telling me that I need pads and rotors. I took it in because I heara chirpping sound coming from my car. I know a little about cars and know that some use this mechanisam as an early warning for brakes. The say rotors are needed too and that mercedes rotors can't be turned or resurface because of the soft materials that mercedes uses.I talked to another brake shop over the phone and they are saying that I only need brake pads and that mercedes rotors can be turned, that the dealer just doesn't want to. There is $450 difference without rotors. Please help.

Normally you dont turn these rotors. Just change pads if thickess still ok.
Aftermarket rotors are not oo expensive if really req.
An easy job to change pads and /or rotors on these cars.

never machine/turn MB rotors, if any shop say you can, then they are hacks. you can go aftermarket pad and rotors to save money but make sure you get ear plugs for the brake noise.

I replaced mine with Ebay Brembos and Porterfield pads. No noise
