After jump starting my SL320, the top and roll bar will not work. The top switch as well as the roll bar switch are lit but neither will operate. Is there a resequencing procedure that needs to be initated ? I did have to re sequence the windows as discribed in the manuel but there is no info about this problem. If anyone has had a similar problem, I would appreciate input. Thanks NR SL 320

 

I think you will find that the electrical surge from the 2 batteries has blown a printed circuit board in the dash. They cost approximately $575.............plus labor.

Hope this is not the problem, but this is a common problem when boosting an SL off.

 

I was able to solve my top problem by removing the three fuses that adr associated with the top and roll bar and are located in the trunk fuse box. Be removing these fuses and leaving them out for 20 minutes, the top control module reset and the top and roll bar are now operating. Thanks for your reply.
