I have a 93 sl 600. It quit running well so I took it to a friends shop.He did a test and said I needed two new throttle bodies and a computer. I bought reman throttle bodies and had the computer checked in Fla. (cost $5000.) Still didn't run right ,was told I needed a new wiring harness. Purchased$2500.00. Now two months later the guy says he can't install the harness because he can't figure out how to get the dash out. Does anybody have any knowledge about the harness or installing it.Discouraged to say the least. Out $7000 already without labor and still have a car that will not run. Help!!!!P.S. Taking the dash out is easy but very time consuming. You really ought to get yourself a copy of the Mercedes R129 Tech DVD from Mercedes for $75: http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/8002/?requestedDocId=8002. It will have step-by-step procedures for this and probably any other job you would think of doing on your car.
