Recently bought a 1999 sl500. I dont know how I missed it, but the metal frame for the soft top id severly rusted. Not a spec if rust anywhere else on the car. Any suggestions, new frame( from where) chrome existing parts? Any one else had this problem.

 

there are some assemblies on ebay. check under the doors and trunk seal for rust. has the car been setting outside and are there any indication of leaks on the inside any place?
