SL550 worth it?

SL550 worth it?
I just drove the SL550. Wow!!!! I so want to get that car now! I'm in a 2002 CLK430 now. Can anyone tell me about the drawbacks? I'm leary about having a 2 seater, but there is so much more room in the trunk than I ever imagined. How is the road noise with the top up. I forgot to have him put it up before we finished.

RE: SL550 worth it?
Konman,
Yes, it's worth it! I just traded in my 2005 SL500 on the 2007 SL550 (anniversary edition).
It is very, very quiet with the top up...totally different from the old rag top days.
Drawbacks...speeding tickets! Got mine 23 hours after purchase.
Seriously, the drawbacks I notice are the NAV system...just not up to the competition, like a Lexus Nav system
Secondly, the 'curtain' in the trunk that you must have down for the top to come down is not removable. It should be possible to unsnap it from the back and remove from the car if you decide that for some trip or something, space is more important than the ability to put the top down. Oh, and also, I didn't like having to shell out $350 for a Blue Tooth interface module just to use my BlueTooth phone. Also, be careful about what phone you have, or might get, as they don't all work in the MB system.
Back to positives, the power is awesome.....keyless go is a real kick.

RE: SL550 worth it?
thanks for the response. i've been pricing them. it's just such a jump for me. i have so many other things i could be doing with the $2400 a month! i'm getting cold feet. i love the car though. might wait until one drops below 80K.
