SL55 vs. SL600

RE: SL55 vs. SL600
They always misfire! Have lots of lifter ticking problems! Oil leaks!! Some sensors will leak oil into the harness and ruin control units and then you'll have to replace the whole harness!! Expensive to repair!! and not as fun as a 55, 65 or 63!!!

Can you give any more details about why we should stay away from the V12s?
I am considering an SL65.

Exhaustive research has revealed that V12 owners have a propensity to stutter (just like their engines) and post the same question 9 times.
Seriously, I would recommend taking a hard look at the SL55. IMO, the SL55 offers more āBag for the Buckā than the SL65; with 0-60, Ā¼ mile and top end numbers being very close to the much higher priced SL65 without the added weight and maintenance problems often associated with that of a 12 cylinder engine.
If you want to treat yourself to a truly unique, ultra performance MB that will NEVER be mistaken for the standard SL; consider the SLR McClaren! The handling, performance and spectator appeal will blow you away!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck with your shopping,
Jim
