SL500 climate control problem
I'm having a weird problem with my 1997 sl500 climate control. The blower motor will not stop (when I turn the system to off it keeps running). It runs even when I turn the car off[/color]. My mechanic took the control panel out and says it is good. He wants the car for a couple days to tear it apart and check the whole system out, but I thought I would see if anyone had any advice here first. I had to pull the relay to get the blower to shut off. Any advice or checks I could do myself would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry

I would tell you that your problem is very definitely a faulty blower motor regulator, Larry. But I have no idea what relay you could possibly be pulling out to disable it, because the regulator is fed from the battery.
Bobterry99,
I pulled the fuse for the blower (under the hood on the left side in the fuse box). Don't know what I was thinking when I said relay. Thanks for the advice.

Hey Terry,
Looks like I'm having the same problem in my CLK 430, as you gave some advice to LArry123 regarding his climate control with his SL. The Blower Motor will not turn off....even when the car is shut off. IT just continues to blow. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Don
