Default SL500 2002 huge scary warning lights help!

We have had this SL for about 6 months now and love love love the drive and handling BUT! ..... always a BUT....

...have a warning light come on for a little while but it then goes off again, it is on the dials on the speedo and the left says 'ABC' the left display says 'Visit Workshop'It often comes on after going around a roundabout too..any ideas?!

Also recently (last night) a new warning light SRS has appeared - have looked it up in the manual but its no help.
I have just moved to this area and have yet to track down any garage to help with it, I am in Bedford.

I am pretty worried as financially this seems bad news!
Any advice ideas or where to go to for mechanics in Bedford area would be appreciated.

Default ABC visit workshop warning

I am getting the same warning on my 2004 SL. I'm in Indianapolis, In. Any ideas or suggestions on a shop?

I had this problem: driving along all the warning would flash on, speedo and rev counter died. Random errors: eg fuel showing empty when. know it's full; ABC raising/lowering, visit workshop.

Took it to my merc inde: low voltage problem. Solution was to replace the (original) smaller of the two batteries: total cost including fitting and taxes was just £117.
