I'm researching the R107 series SL's with a view to buying one. However, would like advice about which engine size, age etc, price is the best bet. I am wavering towards a late (86 - 89) 300SL, has anyone got any comments to help make up my mind. I drive a 1988 230CE daily which I love but fancy a bit more fun! Thanks in anticipation. Oh, I live in North East England UK.
