I just a 1995 Mercedes S600. The (|) Light, ASR Light and ABS Lightstaying lit on the dash, so I checked out some of the forums and decided to replace the Brake Light Switch.Now thatI replaced the switch the Turn Signals (front & rear), Brake Lights, Park Lights will not work. I checked all the fuses (under hood and in trunk) and they are allgood.Any idea what happened? Thanks!

 

have you manage to solve your rear light not working issue as am having the exactly the same problem here. My parking, light, brake light are not working.

If you have being able to resolve this what was the cause and how did you go about it so, i can also do the same to solve mine.

My car is an 600 SEL 1992 v12 6.0 liter. i think they are of the same make

Did you use a Mercedes OEM switch? I've read that some of the Chinese knockoffs really screw things up.

Assuming you used an OEM, I would recheck your install, to ensure everything is assembled correctly. I think it would be difficult to improperly install the switch, but maybe?

 

Has the break switch got anything to do with the parking lights as well as the when the gear selector is moves to the reverse position the white reverse light don't come on? the only light that works at the rear of my SEL 600 1992 is the Orange coloured traffic indicator lights which is also the hazards when the hazard switch is pressed. In short all light behind my car is not working except for traffic indicator.

are these light controlled by any relay as i have checked all the fuse and they are intact. if this lights are controlled by a particular relay, where is this relay located?

please help.
