The roll bar and top were working just the other day. I tried to put the roll bar up and it wont raise. I hear the hydraulic motor kicking on, and the roll bar moves approx 1/4 inch up, then stops.Once it stops, it sounds liketheir is stress on the pump.The top works fine and I did check the hyraulic fluid level and it is OK. ANY suggestions.?? Thanks AL in NJ 1999 SL500

 

I went a little fast over a quick dip, nothing major, and I heard a fast ratchet noise and my rollbar button later didnt work. I held it for 5 sec as the manual said and it worked again. Mine was already up. It must "emergency set off" if a wheel leaves the ground? (If youve noticed, the wheels skip off the ground easily because of the rigidness) Maybe find a way to safely set it off because I assume thats a separate system than the hydraulics. Id try lifting it by hand or with leverage first.
