I think I have a cd stuck in the changer. The magazine will eject but only has five CD's, not 6. If I try to load a cdI get an error. The stuck cd will not play. Are there any instructions or diagrams about how to remove the changer from the trunk. I want to take it out so I can take it appart and remove the stuck cd. I've done a search in this forum but don't see any specifices about removing the changer.TIA.

 

Well, if anyone is interested, I finally found the four screws holding the changer to the bracket. But the way my changer is in, it was impossible to get to the bottom screw closest to the trunk wall. FYI, mine were 7 MM. So, I found the two screws holding the bracket in place under the trunk mat and padding and just removed the bracket with changer attached. Then I was able to take the changer off the bracket.

Unfortunately, I was wrong, there was no disk stuck in the cd player. While I had thechanger cover off, I pluged it back in and loaded a mag. One by one the changer loaded the cd's, they spun up, stopped, and spun up again then the changer ejected it and went to the next one. After all six had been loaded and ejected, all with "Load Error", the head just showed CD 0. Looks like the laser is not picking up.

So guys, is it time for a new changer or does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks.

 

Sell the car, this is the first of many problems to come.
