R129 Xenon Retrofit

R129 Xenon Retrofit
I have a 1997 SL320 with standard headlights that I am replacing with OEM xenon headlights. The wire harness from the original headlight has 3 pins. The Xenon light has a 4 pin socket that will fit onto the 3-pin harness and a smaller 4 pin socket as well. Any idea as to how I make this work? Sleepwalker mentioned in an earlier post that the the 3-pin harness can be plugged onto the 4-pin socket and that the only functionlost is the use of a motor that adjusts the level of the headlight. What about the smaller 4-pin socket? It goes to the two other non-xenonbulbs that are in the headlight assembly. The fittings are pictured. The thick black wire coming out near the socket on the xenon light goes to a metal box that I assume is the igniter. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks sleepwalker, I guess I'll just have to live without self leveling headlights. By the way, if anyone wants to get a good deal on a brand newR129 Xenon headlight set, there is a guy selling them on ebay. His ebay name is markus123dueren You can offer $1500 and he will sell both lights for that.

RE: R129 Xenon Retrofit
Of course sleepwalker was right, the smaller socket if for a headlight leveling actuator that sits in the bottom of the headlight casing.
One more question, this headlight has 3 light bulbs and my old socket is only meant to power two bulbs (or one bulb with two filaments, as is the case). In the picture light 1 comes on as low beams, light 2 comes on as high beams and light 3 is unknown. Can anyone with headlights like these tell me what light 3 is for so I can wire it correctly? Running lights? Fog lights? Turn signal? Parking lights? The wires going to the unknown light are brown and gray. Brown is the common ground, gray is the wire with out a pin socket in a non-xenon R129. Other than this bulb, the installation is as simple as plug and play.
