No battery no gas, please help...
Hello all!
I have an urgent problem at hand and would appreciate any input.
I returned home yesterday from a 3 month vacation and found my the consumer electronic battery low alert on in my 2004 SL. So I figured I can recharge the battery by driving, so I started the car and realized that my gas tank is completely empty. So I went out to get a gallon of gas, then came home found my gas tank door will not open. I am not sure if it is related to the low battery, but I think it is because my car was in great condition when I left. So here is the dilemma, I can't charge the battery without gas, and I can't add gas without the battery. My diagnose might be wrong. Anyways, what do I do now?
Thank you a million!

ok..do you have a battery tender (float charger) or low amperage charger ?
if so simply charge the battery...i suggest that you connect the charger
to the battery before you plug in the charger to avoid any voltage spike
resultant of inrush current from the chargers filter circuits.
if there are folks reading this that are more expert than i and im sure there are many,...please offer your input here.
