Default looking at a '92 SL 500

Hey guys I am new here and looking to buy a '92 SL 500 possibly, is there anything I should make sure to look for before I purchase it. Like anything that tends to go wrong with that year or anything like that. It has 70000 miles and appears to be in very good condition, but what should I look for.

The only years to watch-out for are '93-'95 for the disintegrating wiring harnesses in the engine compartment and '96 V-8 and V-12 cars for problems with the transmission. So, in general I would advise to verify operation of all of the comfort features thoroughly: power seats, steering wheel, and mirror adjustments, automatic climate control, cruise control, roll bar, and power top.

I have a 92 500 SL and it's a great car. In addition to making sure everyting is in working condition, I would also check the following:
1) Rust formation underneath driver and passenger door. Seems to be prone to rust due to design flaw that was corrected in later years.
2) Instrument clusters on this year sem to experience electrical gremlins. Check specifically when directionals are put on that gauges don't jump or short out.
3) Check for leaking fluid fron softtop hydraulic system especially above visors.
4) Check hood pad for signs of deterioration.
5) Cquealing belt could be sigh of worn belt tensioner

Good luck!
