Default Hardtop leaking

hi folks

new here and looking for some help as winter is well on the way here in sunny Scotland i fitted the hardtop only to discover it is leaking very badly at both front corners dripping onto both front seats. Is there a quick and dirty fix for this can i re seal the sealing areas i saw something about using 3200??? Or do i need to replace the car and hardtop seals the car is bone dry with the soft top up.

thanks for any and all help

kindest regards

David

Welcome flying scot!

Not clear to me which SL you have from your post; nonetheless, it seems that either the front latches are not completely seated against the top of the windshield; or dirt/debris is lodged between the seal and the top of the windshield; or the seals themselves are shot-check for wear and insure they are firmly glued in place.

If the above checklist comes up dry, there may be a work-around to your leaking problem, but since the seals are so inexpensive and easy to install, replacing them is, in my opinion, the best solution. Good Luck!

Bob
