I'm in the Navy, my dad owns a 1992 300SL. Straight 6, 5speed manual. Only mods so far are Brembo brakes, Eibach srpings and shocks, a computer chip, and a killer stereo. I know the manual is a relatively rare car. Dad got it for a steal and It's nearly flawless. Interior, exterior, all beautiful. Approx 85k miles, burns a tiny bit of oil. Given the relative obscurity of this car we want to keep the I6 and the 5spd. We're going to mod it out together, and I am going to buy it from him when my time in the service is up. Options I've looked into are turboing, supercharging, and just swapping out the stock motor for an I6 from the C36 AMG car. Advice? Anyone? We're wanting more power while being able to keep the manual tranny, hopefully avoiding gutting the car in the process. A V12 swap seems impractical and I doubt wether or not the manual trans could take it. Supercharging seems the easiet route to more power. I'm a complete n00b on these forums (be kind please!) but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS my car is a 2003 VW GTi 1.8T that's rather modified, so I know how turbo setups work (I'm far from stock) but I just haven't a clue how this MB I6 responds to mods. Thanks in advance!!
