I just bought a 91 300SL and the buzzer goes whenever the driver side door is open. The lights are off and the key is not in the ignition. Is this normal? the dealer said it is, in fact he had a 95 320SL sitting right next to mine and it did the same thing. It just doesnt seem right. Also, where can I find odd parts like the little ***** for the center air vents and door panels over the outside mirrors. I also need the tamours that cover the ash tray and tape storage. And does anyone know if there is a storage compartment or drink holder to replace the tape storage? Thanks

 

It isn't right! If you open the door and you hear the buzzer, this is supposed to mean that you have either left the key in the ignition or you have left the headlights on. I would guess that you a contact in your keyswitch assembly is sticking.

There are no removable ***** for the center vents...Yours have broken off, and you will probably just have to buy a new vent assembly.

I have a 91 500 SL, The buzzer for the door only goes off when the key is in. If the key is out then it wont make a noise when the door is open.
