RE: do I have to replace all Hydraulic cylinders??
maserati,
Your question is a good one and since we have found a quality re-builder for the cylinders, you probably can do them all without breaking the bank, but most of us just have the leakers rebuilt as they fail. The only caveat on that last statement is where the cylinders are in pairs, like the front latches, even if only one side is leaking, do them both. If the one you describe in your car is the one I'm thinking of, it's got a twin on the other side. If true, recommend doing both.
These things fail due to age and heat drying out the cylinder seals. The rebuilder everybody uses can give you the best advice on what to do with the remaining cylinders. Suggest you contact....
Mercedes Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuilder

Dennis charges around $35-40/per cylinder + shipping, warranties for 3 years, and turns them around usually in one day after receipt. He's done a couple for me and hundreds of them for others. He can also help explain how to get them out of your car.
Good Luck
Bob
