Found someone to work on the cluster. Short in the cluster was the problem. The repair was far less than the replacement. Thanks to those who responded with suggestions. sb

 

i have a similar problem that was partly due to an old style tracker, that was disconnected, but problem still continues

Also, when you say the problem was traced to the cluster - is that instrument cluster ? what was the fault and how was it repaired ?
