does anyone know how to pull out the dash on a 1998 sl5oo. i need to replace one maybe two lite bulbs in the dash and if i can get behind the clear plastic covering speedo and everything else ill clean the glass {plastic} all help will be appreciated mike

 

On my '94, all you need to do is to get behind the dash and just push it out. It isheld by 4 clips. Or you can make up a little tool out of a hanger. Bend one end about 1/4" and about 8" long. Bend the other end about 3' as a handle. Slip the small end in, and then turn it. Pull out gently around the dash

 

Just drop the carpeted panel below (3 phillips screws) then slide your hand behind the cluster and ease it out.

Very simple...
