Default Cruise Control

My '95 SL500 cruise control does not work for any speed above 50mph. Is there an easily accessed adjustment for this or is this another one of those expensive "we'll have to take the engine out and put in a new whatsits" deals?

Verify that the sizes (as indicated on the side wall) of all four tires are exactly the same. One tire of a different size could create this problem.

I can't find anything under the hood that matches this picture? Could this be under the engine cover?

The VIN on this vehicle is WDBFA67E1SF115877. Would that have a different location for the resistor?

Is my face red. I put new tyres on the rear and, suddenly, the cruise control started working right. The left rear was quite worn but the right rear was practically new. I didn't think the small difference would matter, but it did.

Get them all the time with nothing needed but to equalize the tire air pressure.
One low tire will stop CC.
Same with ASR ..
