Analog phone conversion

Default Analog phone conversion
I have a 1997 SL320 with the analog "OKI" phone in the dash. I would like to upgrade to a modern system without ripping out all the components of the old system except for the phone. Has anyone been successful at doing this? The current phone attaches to the system using two clip-in, multi-pin plugs with "OKI" written on them and a mini, mono headphone jack.
