They want $ 220 to replace it on my 1980 Mercedes 450 Sl ( Its corroded ) . My mechanic says Its not even necessary these days and I should close off the valve below the manifold with a properly threaded bolt . Another tells me to just buy a $ 10 Dodge part and use that . He claims there is no difference !
