92 500 sl heating up when iddling

my 500sl is heating up when iddling the question is couls it be the thermestat ? or the fan clucth ? well when driving is fine runs cool ! has anybody runned into a problem like this?

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the clutch. I replaced the thermostat first to no avail. do your condensor/auxiliary fans come on?
