560sl restoration question
Hi,
New to the forum, did a search but nothing found. I have an 89 560SL and pulling it apart to do a restoration. Exposing some panels that have the original undercoating scratched and some rust starting. I would like to thoroughly clean off the rust but how to cover the exposed metal. The Owners manual states a 'waxed based' coating was applied at the factory, is this an off the shelf product or can someone point me to a compatible substitute?
Thanks!

RE: 560sl restoration question
Hi,
You can use a rust inhibitor product like FishOilne (In Australia) .I think it has fish oil in it.Or go to your local paintstore that sells automotive paints and ask their advice.
I am sure thy will have something to suit your needs.
Good luck with the project.
