good afternoon all.....I am trying to find a part for my '90 500SL. It is a small hinged panel or cover that "flips" open when the convertible top is deployed and comes out of it's stowage compartment. There are two of these covers, one on the drivers side, the other opposite side of car, same position (passenger side). They are maybe 6" long x 3" wide - shaped like an "L". This piece is a trim part that covers the cavity where the hinge arms come up and out of the interior channel of the body panels (where the rear windows go down into on most convertibles with rear side windows). These covers lay down horizontally when convertible top is in stowage compartment and stand up vertically when top is deployed. I believe they are a brushed aluminum. They are spring loaded and seem to have a plastic piece glued to the underside. I am missing one of the plastic pieces and is there any pads associated with this closure trim cover system? Part numbers would be awesome if anyone knows what I am referring to. Thanks! Jeff
