Default 1995 SL 500 vapor discharge/rough

1995 SL500. Changed plugs. Changed oil. Drained and flushed coolant system. Replenished and trouble started.

However I am not sure it is related to coolant. Here is the situation. Moved to WV. Noted for high ethanol content.

Now; drained, flushed, replenished coolant and vapor came from exhaust. Started running rough and progressively worse until backfire and no run. All the while a vapor (hard to tell if it was antifreeze or sulphur content; it it was white and disappeared 5' away). It had an odor I couldn't identify. But and maybe a whiff of sulphur and/or anti-freeze?

Would be catalitic converter be plugging. Removed spark plugs and no watere blew out and plugs weren't wet and no water in oil.

Anyone with ideas? Thank you. pdmsampickens at gmail com

Still; I did per Waybomb's adise. Pulled vacuum line and appars clean and no transmission fluid I can see or find. I sucked on the line and plugged with my tongue and it helf vacuum and no oil.

Strangely the vapor has 98% disappeared but the discharge seems to have water still at the tail pipe after engine is hot.?????again.

After spark plugs and all this have not done an engine calibration and the engine still runs rough or has a miss (no load) ~3000 RPM and RPM varies ~300 RPM.

Thought on clogged cat conv??? Help anyone.
