Default 1986 560sl dies on right turns???

I'm trying to help troubleshoot my mother's mercedes. It's a 1986 560sl with about 60k miles on it. It ran fine when she lived in Nevada, but she recently moved to Salem, Oregon, and that's when the trouble began.

The car is not a daily driver. It was driven 1000 miles and ran fine. Then it was parked for about a month. When started, it ran rough. The next day, it would turn over, but wouldn't start. It was towed to a dealership who has replaced the fuel lines and pulled to fuel tank to clean the tank. Now, it will run, but dies when turning right. The dealership wants to replace the ignition control module and a CISE injection electronic hydraulic unit - costing about $3000.00.

Any ideas why the car would die on turning right? Any ideas on a respectable Mercedes mechanic near Salem, Oregon?

This forum doesn't seem too mechanical or troubleshooting oriented. Anyone know of a forum for do it yourselfers?

Thanks!

they are doing cya(cover your ***) to your car the reality is those older cars are a pain especially if been sitting more than 3 days . There were new style injectors (bbRASS) (GOLD COLOR TOP) IF YOUR INJECTORS DONT LOOK LIKE THIS YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE . The cise hydrolic unit ? are you talking about air flow metering device (where the air passes through round circle with round plunger) or the fuel distributor ( Round part on top f fuel meter where fuel lines plug into from injectors under air cleaner.)90% of time the car sits the fuel will start to varnish up the fuel distribuor plungers and in the fuel line so all you have to do is drain the fuel tank install 6 gal. 92 octane then when cranking over engine crack open fuel line at distributor ( 1 at a time only 1/8 or 1/4 turn ) till seefuel ooze out tap on fuel line with wrench till get fuel to come out If color is clear proceed to next line if rustY OR DIRTY wait till clearn the proceed. when all are done the car should run. then car should run if running poorly the lamda might have to be checked/corrected also if there is a misfire or rough idle the intake manifold (2 peice design) will have to come off and be resealed ( there are 6 or 8 rubber doughnuts in the middle ) that should be replaced also the air injecton tubes (located by fuel injectors ) tend to leakif your car is over 80k or 10 yrs old and this was not done chances are it will need to be . nothing last forever especially european rubber! Note: if the intake comming off replace all rubber vaccum lines and tubing also beware thaqt the left rear 2 allen bolts nxt to brake booster go though coolant passage which tend to rust up and sometimes the bolt breaks off in the head which could be a pain bet to leave to a shop for this !!!!!!!!!
