Default 129 Soft Top Window Replacement

I just removed the hard top on my 95 SL320 and discovered the stitching opened about 3" and the rear plastic window cracked about a quarter inch (canvas still covers the crack). I began to look for a new window on the net but have only found the option of replacing the back 1/2 of the top w/ the windows included. My questions are:

1) can I just have the stitching replaced and a plastic weld on the window? (the top and windows look like new)
2) is it possible to buy the windows alone, and if so is glass an option?
3) if I need to buy a new top, is it worth just buying the back 1/2 or is there a legit arguement for replacing the entire top?

The rear plastic windows on your top can be repaced. You will need to find some one who does autotop replacements. They remove the window section of the top and install new plastic windows. You should expect to pay around $500 to have them done, as long as the rest of the top is in decent shape!

Thanks L1, I appreciate your input. My new dilema is that purchasing the entire rear section will be $520 plus labor, although the entire top looks like new I am tempted to replace the rear canvas which includes the windows. My only reservation is that there may be some color variations noticible between the 2 sections, and also if new plastic is stitched in will I have any problems w/ leaking around the stitched area. ??
