The CC in my '02 SL500 has stopped working, mostly. It will set below 55, but will not hold more than a few seconds, and cannot be set at all above 55. I have read that this is a common problem that is often fixed by repairing cold solder joints in the cruise control module. The problem is that I cannot FIND the cruise control module. One manual said it was under the dash on drivers side, another said passengers side. I pulled panels but if it is there, it is not obvious.

Anybody have the definitive answer on where this module is located?

BTW - this is not a tire/wheel problem. Already checked.
