Default Wiper Blade Removal

Sorry to ask such a basic question but how do you remove the wiper blades from a '95 S500? I searched the archieves to no avail! Thanks in advance.

Post a picture. I'm pretty sure you get the wiper half way up the windshield then remove the key quickly. Then where the wiper blade attaches to the arm press the grooved part downward then slide the wiper blade toward the wiper base. Hope this helps. But post a picture so I can double check.

Default '96 S500 wiper replacement

I'm having a problem replacing the wipers on my '96 S500 coupe. I bought Bosch replacements, a 24" for the driver's side and a 28" for the passenger side. The guide at the auto store said these were the ones I needed. The 24" slipped right over the wiper arm and was easily locked into place. The 28" will not fit on the wiper arm. The hook on the arm is wider than the gap in the replacement, otherwise it looks like it would work. I guess I'll go back to the auto shop and see if they can figure it out, but it's really frustrating because I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and it would be nice to have both wipers working.

I don't know why they have to make this so difficult! I took mine to my certified MBZ mechanic and he had trouble with it. Ah, Mercedes, love them or hate them.
