I have a euro 1984 280 se and trying to find a windshield for it, seams nobody can find a 280 in their books and don't know what I'm talking about . I have been told it is basically a 380 se American model but not sure if that's true or not , but one place said they show a windshield for a 380 only in green tint , but said my car has blue or grey tint windows, my question is what do I need to be asking for, if the 380 will work ,& where can I find the correct color tint or is green my only option ?

You may be stuck with the green tint. Auto glass in the US is regulated by the Department of Transportation, and if they have not approved the blue or gray tint glass then you cannot buy it here.

You could likely have it shippied from Germany, but you would have to put it in yourself as no shop can legally do this.

Why not hit a wrecking yard and buy all the windows and swap them all out?

I didn't know that and I also have MB 280SE-1985 euro.
Why don't you try Potomac Auto they are in Maryland and they use to have parts of this car.
They are well connected with others in the country
