I would like to know what would be a good deal for a 2005 S55. The local Mercedes dealer has a 2005 S55 with 45k on it. Appears to be in good shape. It was locally owned, sold and serviced by the same dealer here in town. They are asking $32 but doesn't carry a CPO warranty. It has the service records.

They said a warranty would range from $3,000 to $4,000, which seems high.

Since I'm not familiar with the AMG engines (afraid maintenance could be pricey) and don't know what types of issues this model year S class may have.

What would be a good deal? What should I watch for?

I have a very good independent who services our E320.

Any information or guidance would be appreciated.

 

I would suggest you talk to your independent, he probably has a good fix on the local market.
