I have a 94 S420 which is in bad need of a paint job..... The top half is still in glossy good condition butthe bottom portion is in bad shape (paint chips, oil stains, etc.) Original color is navy blue. What do you guys think of painting only the bottom half with a different color? I was thinking leaving the top blue with a black bottom. I know comparing a 12 year old Mercedes to a new Maybach is ridiculous ,but that 2 color look of a Maybach is very sharp. Also, can I go to a regular Maaco to have this done or would you go somewhere else? i would not use Maaco i saw the quality of their work and compared to money you pay its not worth it, even if you pay for a higher type of paint job. Just search for other painting companies and ask them to show you the cars thats they have painted or samplers and also ask how long their warramty on paintjobs is.
