Exclamation Video: S Class owners must see.

Just a video I made of a 99 S Class that was towed in with water damage from clogged cowling drains. Hope this helps all the S Class owners out there to remember to clean their drains. Or this will happen to you. Take just a few minutes to clean. But if you don't it will cost thousands of dollars to fix. Thanks for watching and subscribe. More videos coming soon.

Default Clogged Cowling (Reed Valve)

I went through the same nightmare about 2 years ago with my 2000 S500. Mercedes Dealer was NO HELP and corporate couldn't have cared less. Very expensive to repair. A class action lawsuit covered 2002 and newer S class vehicles for this problem. No reason why 99 and 00 models were not included.
Two months ago I went to get in my car one morning and it felt like a sportscar. The airmatic front suspension went out and had to have it towed to the dealer. When they told me the cost to repair was $6,000 (the car was only worth $7,000-$8,000) I said enough is enough. Sold it and got a new Lexus LS460. Not as much fun to drive as Mercedes and BMW, but a whole lot more reliable and less expensive. I had driven Mercedes since 94 and have seen the quality and attitude go steadily downhill.
