Tyre size

RE: Tyre size
Thanks buddy.
I wanted to go for the 225/55/16 for fronts which make it 0.6 % over normal and for the rears 245/55/16 which make it 4.4% over normal and speedo will read 62.6 when im doing 60mph, which should not cause issues right?
I like this set as would prefer the rear to be abit raised, alebeit hardly noticable.

RE: Tyre size
Your stock wheels are 16" with 235/60/16, which gives you a wheel diameter of 27.1." You would want to keep the wheel diameter as close to stock as you can so as not to mess up computer specs. If you intend to keep the 16" wheels then a 255/60/16 would increase you wheel diameter to 28.0". A 245/50/16 would bring it down to 26". Of course these are tirerack measurements, which is what I generally consider when sizing tires vs. wheels. So, it would help you to visit the tirerack website and through in some different scenarios, and see what's best for you.

You know Merv...you've got an interesting dilemma, and I trust you know this already! TireRack doesn't list your model year. But for your model and year, you have the 205/65/15's as stock. So, that means unless you do some major transforming, the 255's probably will not fit! I assumed you had a W140, sorry for assuming.
Your wheel diameter with the stock wheel size is 25.5" You are attempting to move up to 16" wheels. So, the tire sizes that will keep your diameter the nearest to stock is the 215/55/TR16's, which actually you would be going down in wheel diameter to 25.1", or the 205/65/QR16's, which you go up in diameter to 26.5, or the 235/60/TR16's, which you go farther up to 26.9." Either way you are definitely going to go up in wheel diameter. Given the options, I guess you will have to choose, and see how it works for you.
But 245's or 255's...hmmm...I do know. You'd definitely have to make some modifications in order to get them to fit.
I'd be interested to know what you've done to accommodate the larger wheels. Let me know when you've completed this task.
BTW, nice ride! Of course, I definitely don't see anything wrong with what you've got! I think they're SWEET!

RE: Tyre size
97DMSR, thanks for your help.
I have decided to go for 225/55/16, which is a difference of diameter of 0.2 which would make it 25.7! So thats as close as ya ganna get i reckon!
So happy with that, just hoping the 225/55/16 will fit on the fronts as im ganna go with that size all around. Tyre company said they should do?
She should look somthing like this when done:
