Removing the transmission from a 1993 S420 and need to know how to remove the driveshaft. I have all of the bolts and nuts removed from both ends. Need to know what else to do to remove the shaft so that the transmission will come out.

 

alright this is what you do.

after all the bolts is removed, you can take a pry bar and carefully pry the drive shaft away from the guibo(flex)disk. once one end is off the other side is easy.

Some people leave the drive shaft connected at the diff. which is fine but leaves less room to manuver the tranny around as that bugger of a gearbox is heavy tq end and if you not careful will tip off the dolly (assuming you use one) and have the tq rolling around your shop floor like an over sized coin.
