Default Steering gear box is leaking

Hello guys! My steering gear leaks on my 1996 S500 coupe.I bought the rebuilt kit for it,but somebody told me that it is not going to be that easy to rebuild it.Did anybody has rebuilt one or may be you have any suggestions,ideas.Thanks.

you don't have to use them all because you lack of proper tools such as friction torque and pin wrench.

the leak usually comes from the two oil seals and O-rings. just replace those and it will be fine.

remember to mark the position of the pitman arm and the distance from the steering box. a few mm difference will dis-align your wheels.

Sleepwalker. How easy it to change the seals from the steering box of a 1988 560SEL?
