Default Should I buy S600 Coils from eBay?

Hello, it's my first post here. I have a 2001 Mercedes S600 with a V12 engine. I live in Finland and it gets really cold in the winter. I had some issues with the engine running smoothly last autumn but now it has gotten even worse. The engine runs badly and after taking it to a mechanic, they told me it's 3000€ to buy new coils and fix it. I found similar coils for 500€ on eBay. They claim it's premium OEM quality. I was wondering if they really work or is that a scam. Should I just pay the 3000€?

To be honest, I wouldn't do it. I made that mistake with a Ford pickup truck I used for work. I purchased 8 of them from ebay because they were discounted. 2 months later I had a blown motor that cost me $6000.00 (USC) to replace. I know they are expensive but when it comes down to electronics, I will always use genuine MB parts.
