Default Scrolling Sat Preset Channels

My 2011 S-class seems to only permit the scrolling of Sirius Sat preset channels via the steering wheel controls; not through the COMAND controller. I can go into the menu and find the list of presets and search for a preset channel, but I don't refer to that as scrolling. If what I've described above is accurate, it seems that moving the controller right/left does the same thing as turning the controller right/left - it takes you to the nearest sequentially numbered channel. Turning or moving it right, for ex., will allow the channel to move from 21 to 22, regardless of 22 being a preset. Why would two different functions provide the same result? Seems to me that if turning the controller moves up a single channel [which makes sense], that moving the controller right should bump it to the next preset. The way this is operating, if the speedometer display is not set to radio, but set to monitor temps, or even set to show night view assist, scrolling presets is impossible. Thus, finding them is a terrible distraction for the driver. Has anyone else noticed this/found a workaround?

Thanks
