RE: S500 W220 Oil Change Procedure and Question
Most eveyone is changing their "Oil" thru the top using the dipstick tube, It is recommended by MB, and why would anyone use E-Bay filters, get theOEM from a reputable source, since some on E bay are copies down to the packaging.
My dealer charges me $90 for (mobil synth) OIL and FILTER, and washes the car, they first complained because i did not want the full service.

RE: S500 W220 Oil Change Procedure and Question
Can anyone recommend the proper wieght of oil to use for a 2001 S500 (W220)? One dealer in my state (South Carolina) recommended 0W40 the other 5W40 (both Mobil1 full synthetic). Which would be better for the warmer climate?
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: S500 W220 Oil Change Procedure and Question
I go for the $95 option a the dealer 5-40 and a wash, I stay clean and they give out coffee, and tell me if something major is happening. They dont like it but will do it!
