Default S500 oil change procedure

I recently bought a 2003 S500 4-Matic, and I want to do the maintenance myself. Can anyone tell me if there is anything "special" about changing the oil and oil filter? I will be using synthetic oil, and buy the recommended oil filter on line.
Anyone have a good link for the shop manual for this car?
Thanks,
engprosinc

Make sure you use the soft little copper washer (gasket) for the oil pan. Take the old one on the bolt off and repalce it with the one provided with the filter.

Make sure you get a filter "kit." The filter can be purchased by its lonesome but you need the washer and the two O-rings. Ergo, get the kit.

Good luck.

Also - the fairing underneath needs to be taken off - locate the four little hex bolts and remove them. I think an 8 mm socket fits, but yours might be different.

Don't lose the bolts.

You will need a six inch or eight inch extender on your socket for the filter housing. Tight space otherwise.

good luck.
