Im looking to buy either a s500 or s430 2000-2001 Is one generally better, How is the maintenance on these cars. I have heard some issue with the air ride suspension.

I purchased a 2001 s500 3years ago changed the oil/tune up/filters no problems yet the ride is fantastic/the eloctronis are numerous/wow what a car/i added amg items,i get compliments all the time

 

I have never ever seen an s430 (W220 model), or a S/CL420 (w140 model). Here in the UK for example you just really see S280, S320, S500 and (not much these days) S600. Do people actually buy the S430/S420s?

Airmatic suspension is on both a S420 and S500, so possability of problems on both. The 2000-2001 years are worst for these problems, so go for a later year if possible!
