put your key to posititon "1' in the ignition. wait till the service required light goes away after a few seconds, then on the steering wheel hold down the right side button on the right side of the wheel and the center "ok" button on the left side of the wheel at the same time. after a few seconds a screen will appear and you can navigate through it to reset your light..it may be complicated your first time..let me know

Doesn't work. Service required light will not go out until I press either the "OK" button on the left side of the steering wheel or the "Back" button on the left side of the steering wheel. At this point, if I press the right side button while pressing any other button, it puts me into the voice menu. Possibly, I'm not following your suggested procedure correctly?

why not just get the service, thereby, maintaining your warranty?

Service has been done, so the warranty is not in question.[:@][:@]

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THE SERVICE COST"S???? Unless your a service manager for the dealer that's a sarcastic reply. I thought the reason most of us are here is to attempt to circumvent the ASTRONOMICAL cost of serviceing a Mercedes!!!! I know why buy one if you can't afforrd it right? Well my house cost 300 thousand dollars I didn't buy that with cash either did you??

I am trying to reset my 2007 S550 also... just had service done locally... live 175 miles from a dealer.. local guy couldn't figure out how to reset it.
PLEASE if anyone knows how let me know.
I also tried the suggested proceedure without any luck.
That was a sarcastic reply... guy must just be a "jerk". Nothing wrong with saving a few dollars... after all the vehicle is ours right????

the reason why noone is telling you is because in that same menu to reset the counter there is also settings for turning off the ESP completely and other dealer items. the procedure is a little complicated to explain because of the sequence of button pushing and the screens afterwards to toggle threw. but the original 1st reply you got was the correct procedure. but navigating afterward can be tricky.
