Hello,
Please forgive me if this has been covered, I did search and found some similar problems but no real solution.

The car is a 2001 S430 It has just over 100,000 miles on it.
it is owned by a female friend of my wife who at the moment is having relationship problems and does not want to ask her boyfriend for help.

It has a couple messages.
One is something about a turn signal reflector that needs checking, sorry I do not recall the exact message. But the left blinker is faster blinking than thr right but I saw no burned out bulbs.
The other is Tail light l, substitute lamp used
It does have the inside parking light blub that does not light up.
I did remove the bulb along with the right hand side and bought a pair identical bulbs so both would be replaced. Bit with new known good bulbs are installed the left still does not light up.
I did not have my voltmeter with me to test and see if there was power flowing to the contacts where the bulbs plug into but will do so tomorrow.
lastly there is also a message about a left rear fog lamp.
Which bulb is the rear fog lamps?

Sorry about all the questions, I have never worked on nor till tonight had I driven a Mercedes other than a very old diesel one several years ago one of my friends was trying to convert to run off used cooking oil.

I must say I love the ride and feel of the car, being a 2001 model I can not imagine how nice the 2013 versions are.

My vette may still be faster than her Mercedes but I think I would trade in a heartbeat.

I forgot to ask in the 1st post. Is there anywhere to get the navigation software CD's and which ones would i need for use in the southeast united states.
I looked on ebay and saw people selling different ones. She wants me to buy what she needs but I do not want to buy any that would never be used.
