Post Purge valve & Transmission fault Founded??

Machanic performed and entire system reset then told me to cross my fingers because additional work is in my future.
How much would a new or rebuilt tranny cost and how many miles will it last do I even need a new/rebuilt transmission?
Or just a tranny tune up kit we are at 109,111 miles.
Transfluid and seal was changed about 100,000 ago is this normal??

Thanks - what was the transmission fault that was found? I believe a rebuilt transmission will set you back about $3k USD; this is just a ballpark figure - other members may chime in as well.

I would do a search for European car junkyards /used part supplier or ones that deal specifically with MB - you can likely find a used one for a good price.

Finally my transmission job is completed by Ammaco here is the break down on parts replaced inside this Transmissions guts New Valve body including Programming $2,350 10 bottles of ATF $232.00, 1 filter $43.00 1 new Master assembly kit $1,008.08 1 E Torque Converter $495.00. Labor $1,589.44. Grand total including NYC tax =$6,225.95
Thats the most expensive repair bill I have ever had.
The transmission seems stiff strong and heavy the tech said give it some time to be broken in (feels like a new car. Hopefully this transmission will last another 100k miles. We are at 109k now. Seems like the 722.9 transmission has a 10 year life span.
