I just bought a all new black 2007 MB S-class S550, the car looks amazing, but the only pity is the grill part, I like the big logo on the grill, just like the CLS-class, that the big MB logo in the Middle of the grill for my S550, because I wanna to change the original S-class grill to Big MB logo grill!!!so If anybody have information, plz PM me. I like to buy that grill ASAP, and any body have suggestions? any after market parts? where u guys uaually shop the parts?? new to the forum, plz help.....

i've seen one at the local aftermarket shop here in newjersey called rayco.
it was 500$$$ i remember seeing it for the new s-class.
maybe search and see if you can find their info.
nice grills but to pricey, thats why i never got one. i also remember seeing some on ebay as well, but they are probebly crap.

Ijust researched them yesterday and today and ordered one. This is the lowdown...if you want to stay under $300 you are going to get PVC just like the standard MB grill, but......whereas the orginial is PVC the chrome blades on the front of it are metal. The under $300 models are PVC and the blades are chrome on the PVC. I ordered one of these and have no idea how it will hold up. It comes with an OEM 7.5" star. Iordered it from a company in Canada.
If you go on ebay and click in "S500 or S430 grill" you will find a bunch of different ones. The one that came closest to the original grill (same # of blades) had a smaller star...I'm guessing about 5". I didn't research the stuff over $300 so you might find something there.
Also the star falls exactly over the hood release so you might inquire if there is a hole punched to access that release.

And...many of them are either black or white and these colors replace much of the chrome surrounding the grill.

I think it takes a different version to fit models from 2003 and newer, but I believe there are some available.
