Default Need help on 2000 S500 Navigation System

Someone stole my navigation cd from my car. I have purchased a new one with a copywrite date of 2002. My car will not read the new disc. My car was produced in 7/1999. Does this have anything to do with it not working? Help!!!!

I should have been smart enough to make a backup copy, but did not think that someone at the carwash would be crooked enough to steal it!!!!

go to the dealer and have somebody update the new software for you.

i can teach you how to do it, but a slight mistake such as opening the door will cancell the update and damage the on board computer.

i know you want to do it by yourself but the risk is too high that i cannot afford to lose my face if something goes wrong.

please tell what CD you got now.

APS 30 CD is not capable to run in COMAND operating and display system.

please tell me also what fault text you see on the screen when you turn the unit "on". it might just be a slight problem that you can correct by yourself.

I am having the same problem....my 2000 S430 was produced in 2/99 and it has no cd. I just bought is used. Any idea where I can get the CD for the 2000 early nav system? Online they only have newer style and the dealer only can order an entire set. I need Texas, #4. Thanks! Don

I did find the CD....2004 model for a great deal on Ebay. I have emailed the seller and he can provide the CD at a very low cost for the "C Nav" systems used in early 2000 S class models. If you need this info let me know. They are hard to find.
