Default Mercedes S-Class W220 Conversion Clear Headlights

Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade the headlights for a Mercedes S-Class between 2000-2002 to the new clear headlights offered by the 2003+ S-Class?

If this has been done, please let me know.

Thanks,
Gary

yes. it can be done.

you will have to modify the plug arrangements on the new headlamp assembly by repositioning the pins.

have a soldering iron (40 watts) and soldering lead handy. you might need them.

better change the tail lamp assembly too so they will match.

the base connector for halogen and xenon is far different.

you can't.

i always replace the whole assembly and modified the wiring.

you mean kung "marunong" ako magsalita ng tagalog? syempre naman. kumakain pa rin ako ng kangkong paminsan minsan.

it cost about 920 euro a piece.

Hello,

I saw your post and wanted to know if you had a wiring schematic for this conversion. My car is at the dealership and the wiring diagram that came with my light (Bi-Xenon lamps purchased from Bekkers.com) doesn't work completely (I have Xenon/Halogen lamps now with the self leveling feature). They high beams and turn signals do not work. They are confident that they can get them working with some more labor (I am up to $500 currently - they estimate $750). I am trying to find a successful conversion and the wiring schematic that they used. Any help would be appriciated and rewarded!

Thank you,

Shane
